After a hostile Indian tribe kidnaps his sister, young Sam Sutter (Stewart Petersen) sets out to find her. He enlists the help of a rough-and-ready trapper named Russian (Richard Boone) to aid in the rescue. But when the tribe, led by the ruthless Temkai (Geoffrey Land), closes in on our heroes, Sam must undergo the ancient trial of "Crooked Sky" to save his captive sister in this rousing Western, a loose remake of John Ford's The Searchers.
