Barnaby (John Nettles) and his new partner, Dan Scott (John Hopkins), are just getting acquainted when they're assigned the murder case of a dancer found dead in a flamenco dress with a rose in her mouth. Complicating matters, Barnaby's daughter Cully (Laura Howard) finds herself implicated in the murder. Meanwhile, expecting his new beat to be a cinch, streetwise Sgt. Scott's introduction to Midsomer County is full of surprises.
