Welcomed by the locals into the small town upon which they've stumbled, two outsiders -- an old rodeo performer and his grandson -- aim to repay the favor by helping out the community's financially strapped church. With the aid of the minister, they enter an upcoming horse race in a bid to win the big cash prize. Russell Hayden stars alongside Jean Parker, who plays an unpleasant young widow who eventually learns how to find joy in life again.
