Mild-mannered bookstore employee Daud falls in love with a beautiful author and tries to win her over by selling her unpublished book. But his plans go awry when a gangster forces him to watch over an attractive prostitute, and his neighbors assume that the girl in his apartment is his wife. When the gangster is arrested, the prostitute has nowhere to go, and Daud finds he's stuck with her for a while -- which may not be so bad.
