As children, brothers Martin (Julio Alemán) and Reynaldo (Antonio Aguilar) witnessed the murder of their father. Spurred to vengeance by their mother (Columba Domínguez), they grow up to carry out a vendetta against the killer (Emilio Fernández). But their revenge only begets more violence, a cycle the brothers are helpless to stop. Ismael Rodríguez earned a Golden Globe nomination for his direction of this searing indictment of retribution.
