Director Angélique Bosio captures the nihilist, sexually charged furor of the Cinema of Transgression, a 1980s underground movement defined by the low-budget 8mm films of a group of New York City artists, such as Richard Kern and Nick Zedd. In addition to film excerpts, photos and performance clips, this documentary features interviews with both filmmakers and their No Wave musical counterparts, including Thurston Moore and Richard Hell.
