Mickey Rooney stars as a retired railroad engineer who inspires children to do the impossible in this oddly charming but rarely seen slice of surrealist cinema from the mind of Spanish writer and filmmaker Fernando Arrabal. Working under the aging railroader's influence, three children not only manage to rehabilitate a crumbling steam locomotive, but they also use it to help a Cambodian refugee find his way home.
