In this miniseries based a novel by Mordecai Richler, Montreal native Jake Hersh (David Julian Hirsh) leaves his hometown for London, where he becomes a successful film director -- but he still carries with him the shadows of his past. The longest shadow is cast by his cousin Joey (Jacob Tierney), whose heroic life and accomplishments tower over Jake's -- especially when a scandal threatens to overturn Jake's life.
