In the midst of a record-setting heat wave, romance fills the air as a single father (Jacky Cheung) pursues a pianist (Rene Liu); a foodie writer (Vivian Hsu) tries to win a dour sushi chef's (Daniel Wu) heart; and a repairman (Nicholas Tse) chases a mystery girl (Barbie Hsu). This interweaving rom-com also finds a villager (Boran Jing) proving his love to a factory worker (Angela Baby) and a photographer (Yihong Duan) tracking down a model.
