Petty criminal Milt (William Forsythe) plans a bank robbery with an unusual accomplice: his teenage son, Simon (Kevin Zegers). When they pull it off, Simon disappears into the woods for four days, waiting for his dad to arrive -- but he's not coming. Feeling betrayed, Milt's angry partner (Colm Meaney) sets off to find Simon and the money. Meanwhile, Simon's picked up by a woman (Lolita Davidovich) who uses him to make her husband jealous.
