Sean Young

A leggy actress who launched her career as a ballet dancer and model, Sean Young was born in Louisville, Ky., on Nov. 20, 1959, and enjoyed the height of her success in the 1980s by capitalizing on her sultry sexuality, beginning with a breakthrough role as an android love interest in Blade Runner (1982) opposite Harrison Ford.

High-profile parts followed in Dune (1984), Wall Street and the steamy thriller No Way Out (both 1987) before the actress found her niche in screwball comedies, most notably in Fatal Instinct (1993) and Ace Ventura: Pet Detective (1994).

In the new millennium, Young also appeared frequently on television, nabbing guest spots on "Reno 911!" (2004), "CSI" (2006) and "ER" (2007).
