Aida Turturro

The curvaceous cousin of actors Nicholas and John Turturro, Aida Turturro was born Sept. 25, 1962, in New York City. She launched her career with bit parts in a variety of feature films, including What About Bob? (1991), Manhattan Murder Mystery (1993) and Angie (1994).

But it was Turturro's role as Janice Soprano Baccalieri -- volatile sister of Tony Soprano (James Gandolfini) -- on the cult hit "The Sopranos" (2000-2007) that earned the actress Emmy nominations in 2001 and 2007, along with wide recognition among international audiences.

Turturro also appeared with Gandolfini on the big screen as part of her cousin John's all-star musical Romance & Cigarettes (2005) and starred alongside cousin Nicholas in 1992's Mac. Her other movie credits include Sleepers (1996), Celebrity (1998), Bringing Out the Dead (1999) and Sidewalks of New York (2001).
