After graduation, Poehler moved to Chicago to work with the world-famous Second City, where she met friend and future co-star Tina Fey. Along with Fey, Poehler became one of the most popular female performers on "Saturday Night Live" (2001-08), developing memorable sketch characters and co-anchoring the show's "Weekend Update" segment, earning a pair of Emmy nods for her efforts. She snagged a third nomination in 2010 for her leading role in the sitcom "Parks and Recreation."
Poehler has also scored with audiences on the big screen, starring opposite Will Arnett as a competitive ice skater in Blades of Glory (2007), and reteaming with Fey to play a misguided surrogate mother in Baby Mama (2008).
