Michael Kelly

Born May 22, 1969, Philadelphia native Michael Kelly set out to become a lawyer but shifted career gears after taking an acting class in college.

In the 1990s, Kelly began appearing in bit parts in films, and he joined a cast of heavy hitters in 2000 for the supernatural thriller Unbreakable. But he didn't draw attention until he played his first significant role -- a gleefully sadistic rent-a-cop -- in Dawn of the Dead (2004). Two years later, he tackled the moving gridiron drama Invincible (2006), following up with Changeling (2008) and the fish-out-of-water comedy Did You Hear About the Morgans? (2009).

Kelly's sizable small-screen repertoire includes guest spots on "The Shield," "Judging Amy," "CSI: Miami" and a six-episode turn as an FBI agent on "The Sopranos." In 2012, he reunited with his Unbreakable co-star Robin Wright for the Netflix original series "House of Cards."
