Throw Momma from the Train (1987) marked DeVito's directing debut; he went on to helm The War of the Roses, Hoffa, Matilda and Death to Smoochy. As a producer, he was responsible for Pulp Fiction, Get Shorty, Out of Sight, Erin Brockovich, Be Cool and others.
